While a college education is a prerequisite for a growing number of jobs in diverse fields, it seems graduates are increasingly ambivalent about job prospects post-graduation. According to a recent Gallup poll, 57 percent of 18-29 year olds who responded believe their future holds more promise than their parents’; however, the overall result yielded by the poll demonstrated that Americans—especially older Americans—seem rather pessimistic about youths’ ability to “outpace their parents.” In light of this, it is important that graduates not only gain relevant experience in line with their career goals and begin filling out their resumes well before graduation, but also keep tabs on employers actively seeking to replenish their workforce with recent graduates.Recently, the career advice website, Resume Bear, produced a list of 25 companies graduating seniors or newly minted graduate degree holders may want to keep an eye on. Or, as Resume Bear put it, “If you’re a recent college graduate looking for work, here are 25 companies who are hiring graduates this year.” While below is a simple list of each of the 25 companies, Resume Bear, trying to take the guesswork out of recent graduates’ job search, compiled a list that includes the name of each company, how many graduates each is hiring, the nature of positions for which each company is recruiting, and what qualities and qualifications recruiters are looking for in this year’s pool of applicants.
